Ageing

The disability sector is now facing an ageing population, yet many services and staff are not equipped with the knowledge and skills to provide appropriate support to people with disabilities in the long term. This short course provides participants with an overall understanding of the ageing process and how this will impact on people with a range of disabilities.

  • To understand the ageing process and differences facing people with a disability
  • To understand what type of support is required to meet the changing needs of peoplewith disabilities who are ageing

Target Group

People working in the disability sector who are working with people with disabilities who areageing. This includes both physical and cognitive impairment.
