Diversity Plans can assist agencies to have a more coordinated approach to meeting the diverse needs of disadvantaged people.
Course Overview
This course will assist you to;
- Understand the barriers facing a range of disadvantaged groups wishing to access your service
- Provide you with a simple frame work to guide you through the steps of developing a Diversity Plan

Key Content Areas
- Identification of barriers that prevent service access
- Promotion of services to a range of disadvantaged groups

Information and resources regarding the following special needs groups:
- People from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds
- People from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island backgrounds
- People who are ageing / dementia
- People experiencing financial disadvantages
- People from rural areas
Learning Outcomes
- To understand the advantages and how to develop an effective Diversity Plan
Target Group
Coordinators, Team Leaders, Managers who are interested in improving and promoting services to people who are experiencing disadvantage in our area.
